I have been training for triathlon mostly for 70.3 distance on my own for last 1 year. In this period, I attempted 2 half IM distance triathlons. In both the attempts my swimming was around about same (around 52mins). Cycling part was also OK, according to the tough course. But both the time, I suffered in run leg, which took around 3 hrs. I had no steam left to push in the running.... > For past 3 months I have been training with YOSKA and recently I attempted my 3rd 70.3 distance triathlon. And I was delighted to get my PB this time. It was not surprising that the meticulously crafted training plan helped me do better. What I liked most is the scientific approach to the training, which is very TRIATHLON specific. Coming from running background it is very difficult to train on your own for triathlon event. By the way, I improved my running leg by around whopping 50 mins to finish in 2:15hrs. After the run, I could still feel the freshness in my legs, despite of the torturing weather conditions. Thanks to coach Deepak Raj, and YOSKA for guiding me in this journey.

(Was part of KaveriTrailMarathon training program which was presented in partnership with runnersforlife.com) Being an amateur runner when I first decided that I want to attempt a full marathon, first thing that I looked for was for training plans. There are numerous plans that I came across in the internet and also several apps that give a generic training plan to train for a full marathon. What I found in these training plans is that although they mention to take rest and cross train once a week , there are no further details. This is the major difference that I found in Yoska training plan. Yoska training plan concentrates on making our core stronger which is very much essential when we attempt for long runs. It also describes tempo runs and interval runs which improves our speed and mobility. It gives us an detailed insight into the kind of runs required, time frame, recommendation on our pace n speed . The online interaction with the trainers help us in clarifying our doubts and it’s a huge plus I found this as the most effective training.

(Aspiring Triathlete) It's been just 4 weeks I have joined YOSKA and started training under able guidance of Deepak Raj. I can already see lot of improvement in my performance. It all started 3 months back when I registered Half Ironman this July at Chennai Triathlon, 2 months of training under guidance of Anil Sharma (Vibrant Velacherry) and 1 month under training plan of Deepak Raj gave me some amazing perspective of this endurance sport. Got to learn about structured training, how important is core workout and strength training. After joining YOSKA I can see my training workouts are well planned and scheduled helping me perform better day by day. Chennai Triathlon being postponed was disappointing, but Pinkathon came to rescue, registered 10km run. Wanted to do my best, to know where I stand. It is contentful for me to see my performance, finished 10km (9.4km actual) with a personal best timing of 54 minutes. Got a good long way to go carrying confidence. Thanks to Deepak for believing in me and taking me into his wing. Looking forward to train under able guidance of Deepak and his Team at YOSKA and train myself for better.

Have been training with Deepak for 3 years now and I must say in addition to being an excellent coach, he is a great human being. For someone who never believed in structured training, Deepak made a lot of sense with not just madness of sheer running to efficiently running with results. With the level of engagement that he has with all his athletes and multiple skype sessions on all aspects (nutrition, conditioning, bike trainer sessions), one doesn’t ever feel it to be online training. His training plans are designed in a unique way to accommodate athletes time availability and other priorities. He is a great motivator always encouraging athletes and making them believe that nothing is impossible with hard efforts. Deepak is an inspiration with his die hard commitment to Ironman training and creating awareness of Triathlons in India. Lucky to have him as my coach.

I was introduced to Deepak by my friend 2 years back. I used to run only for 15 minutes that time .I spoke to Deepak regarding my interest in Training. He helped me carve out the training plan with some of the constraints regarding the weather in Minnesota (it’s usually cold here for 8 months of the year), so planned for the indoor training. He helped with the Nutrition recommendation, planning on trainings based on my work schedule, getting the right gears(shoes/watches). It has been a great journey so far and has been eventually increasing my running distance. I did my first half Marathon in April after 15 months of the training.

Deepak has been my coach for close to two years now. By now he is more than a coach – he is a friend. It helps when a coach is also your friend. It also helps to know you share values. Deepak’s journey from just another IT hack into the sport of triathalon is an inspiration in itself. But he has leveraged his IT skills into the sport and in the process created a highly interactive process so much so you don’t miss his physical presence. Deepak is always there for you – when you have a technical question, when you have an injury, when you are feeling just down or feeling confused. He is as always a sober and comforting and encouraging voice, which brings out the best in you. He pushes you without you even realizing that he is doing so. His individualized training programs are very thoughtful and customized for each one of us and there is not a day when I don’t look at the schedule at least twice or thrice a day to get the feel of what he wants me to do and why he wants me to do what he wants me to do. Under Deepak I have won many Olympic podiums and one Ironman podium and my PBs are progressing well. Under Deepak I am now a silver category IronMan All World Athlete Program as an age grouper. I hope to join him in KONA some day.

After I did my first Olympic distance tri in Dec 2013 (clocked 4 hours) I was seriously hooked. One of the first things I did was to seek out a good coach and to be honest when I found out about Deepak I was a little sceptical. Here is an Indian who had finished ten (at that point in time) Ironman’s and rarely anyone had heard about him. Nevertheless I didn’t waste time signing up with him. Deepak was thorough, meticulous and patient. He always sought your feedback and gave enough to sort out your queries and concerns no matter how silly. By August my brother and I decided give Ironman a shot I had signed him up with Deepak as well. When you are seeking to do something as daunting as the ironman I think guidance from someone who has finished it helps a lot not just to prepare you physically but also to imbue in you the mental strength and belief that this race is completely doable. Deepak’s guidance on all matters helped remove my anxiety and helped focus on the race. Deepak wasn’t just a coach updating training plans and giving out instructions he was good friend. Whatever my need, be it equipment and diet he would be kind enough to source it and send it through people. I seriously doubt if I could have reached anywhere close to completing the Ironman were it not for him.

My journey as a marathon runner began in 2011, when i participated for the first time in SCMM full marathon. With absolutely no clue of what I signed up for, I quickly realized the challenges when I completed the race in about 5 hrs & 25 mins. Since then I always wanted to improve my timings & become a better marathon runner, but could never get my timing below the 5 hr mark, even though i enrolled for training programs & trained with a group under a trainer & kept reading articles on Internet. It was only in 2014 when I enrolled with Deepak & followed his training program in a disciplined manner that I could complete the SCMM full marathon in 4 hrs & 20 mins, which is my personal best timing & is a big achievement for me personally. I followed up with a sub 4 hour marathon in SCMM 2016. Thanks a lot Deepak for helping me in my journey & now i look forward to improve the timing even further & hopefully one day be able to complete a triathlon. This achievement goes a long way in helping me stay fit & as some wise-man said ‘A sound soul dwells within a sound mind & a sound body’ which now looks possible with a sound trainer like you 🙂

I would say I am into “TRIing a new life”. Its been around 4 months + since I started this journey of triathlon training with Coach Deepak Raj. About Training : A very well thought and structured workout plan (weekly/monthly) is being provided by Coach. Workout is tailored according to individual’s lifestyle. Every workout comes with a detailed description which makes it easy to follow. There is a weekly call for review and discussion on training. I feel with today’s communication technology, its very convenient to go for online coaching program. So did I. Rather, I feel the coach is around and available whenever required. Right from workouts, gears, technique and nutrition, the coaching program covers all the aspects very well. I would highly recommend his coaching to aspiring triathletes/Ironman. My Experience: A wonderful journey and a great learning experience so far. I have truly enjoyed and observed significant improvement in all the 3 legs (Swim, Bike & Run). After 2 months of training, I have completed half iron distance triathlon 1 h 55 min faster than my previous race (which was held 4 months prior). Under his coaching and guidance, I have been able to better my performance. He always motivate and inspire me to push my limits. Thanks Coach Deepak Raj. I would strongly recommend his training to aspiring triathletes or Ironman aspirants.

(Was part of KaveriTrailMarathon training program which was presented in partnership with runnersforlife.com and later signed up for Yoska Running Academy) Thanks so much for the training. I am definitely enjoying the structured learning and the Yoska online training platform works wonderfully! This morning, the online session for core workout was really good too. I was a little worried about whether the online platform model and technology would work, but it totally did. Looking forward to enrolling into a longer term relationship with Yoska post the KTM

Hello everyone.. I am Anusha Vinay Joshi I have had health issues for a long time.. I was always asked by my doctors to lose weight and maintain it as much as I can. During my college days I did not find it difficult to lose weight because I lived at a hostel and I feel age is also one of the very important aspects when it comes to weight loss. I did as much as I could.. After my second delivery it was really difficult for me to lose weight by myself. I had to find healthy ways to bring down my weight. I was introduced to Yoska by my Husband's friend Anil Prabhakar who also works with Yoska, who then introduced me to my coach and nutritionist Shivali Setu Chauhan. Now, what can I say about Her? She is perfect and is the best! We talked about my routine and my lifestyle as she asked me to follow her instructions as much as I can. I did not find it difficult to follow her diet plan. All the recipes she suggested were so delicious as I did not feel like I’m dieting at all. It's been 3 months since I've been following her diet plan and I wish to continue for 3 more months. In just 3 months it has changed my lifestyle. I don't wish to go back to my old lifestyle. Today I have control over my cravings and I'm amazed with the results I have got! Now coming to my exercise routine, I am guided by Aarathi. She suggested strength and conditioning workouts 5 days a week which I really enjoyed doing and never thought of skipping any of the workouts. Thank you Aarathi for the wonderful workout suggestions 🙂 I lost 4 inches on my waist, lost nearly 8 kgs. Nowadays people go for many protein supplements by skipping their meals. Yoska taught me how to stay fit with our regular foods. I have also learned that it's not only about losing weight, but to stay fit and active no matter what. Moreover I feel energetic, happy, light and confident. I also want to thank Anil anna for introducing me to Yoska and to my husband Vinay Joshi for supporting me.
